Samantha Stosur was born on March 30, 1984 in Brisbane, Australia. She is a professional Tennis star from Australia. Being a child Sam spent hours reaching at the nearby courts in Adelaide with older brother Daniel. He quickly noticed she had above-common potential and assured their parents, Dianne and Tony, to provide Sam teaching lessons. At the age of 13, Sam became popular for her first international trip – to the World Youth Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia – it may be her first taste of a lifetime like a tennis pro.
Samantha Stosur won her initial WTA singles match in 2003 by attaining the third game of the Australian Open where she was ousted by Daniela Hantuchova. In 2004 she went to the semifinal game of the Gold Coast Event. Then she had reached the 2nd round in the WTA competition in Hobart and the 2004 Australian Open. She also certified for numerous WTA events in Birmingham, Indian Wells, Acapulco and Vienna. She showed her nation in the Athens Olympics but was beaten in the 1st round.
